connect, engage and explore acting and the creative process.
We are now taking enrolments for New Students This presents a wonderful opportunity for new acting students to join and engage in a safe learning environment under the guidance of Peter and Sophie. This initial conversation allows us to more accurately gauge your needs and determine which class best suits you. ENTRY INTO OUR CLASSES — Phase One & Phase Two
PHASE ONE — 'Introduction To The Work'
The 'Introduction To The Work' is exactly as it sounds, it’s an introduction to Peter Sardi’s unique approach to acting and teaching developed over 40 years! Whether you're a beginner or you've had previous experience, the Introduction To The Work is a prerequisite to ‘PHASE TWO - The Scene Class.’ (see below). If you’re a beginner it’s a great way to build a solid foundation and an understanding of acting. If you’ve already had some experience, the introduction class will challenge you in a way that will encourage you to take chances and let go of old acting habits.
At the discretion of Peter & Sophie, students progress from Phase One ~'The Introduction To The Work' to Phase Two ~ 'The Scene Class.' In 'The Scene Class' each actor will utilise the skills learned and practiced in Phase One and apply them to a scripted scene, where developing a character and situation becomes the focus of the work.
PHASE TWO — 'The Scene Class' — 9 Week Term
The Scene Class is offered exclusively to acting students who have either completed Phase One or have previously worked with Peter & Sophie in the past.
'The Scene Class' - The actors are partnered up and are each given a scripted scene that they work on for the duration of the nine-week term. Following these group sessions, the actors take it upon themselves to meet online every week (between classes) with their respective partners for rehearsals. At the completion of the nine weeks the scenes are filmed, edited and published on our website and selected online platforms.
Students have showcased some great results of their hard work over the course of a school term. These scenes, rehearsed and recorded online, demonstrate the standard that can be achieved through our online classes. Along with viewing these scenes you can also see and hear Peter and Sophie's feedback to the acting students. *Interested in seeing the results of a few of these scenes now.
